Three years ago, I charged up my credit cards and used
my balance transfer checks for business purpose. But unfortunately it was a risky move,I lost everything since then my financial situation is going down the drain.
I thought of filing
bankruptcy, but since I have
no assets for the creditors to take, and yet they haven't filed any lawsuits, why should I declare
bankruptcy, anyway? The SOL
will expire in few months
in my state.
I know that all the debts have been charged
off
and some actually sold to outside
collection
agencies.
At this point I do not own any assets and do not have any money at all. All I'm hoping to do is to find a decent job to make my living. My questions are as follows:
1. If the SOL
run out and they don't file any lawsuit,
Is there any way they could file afterwards.
2. Is it true that after
seven years, my credit report
will be clear again. Are there any chances it wouldn't
be cleared in seven years.
3. If for any reason I file a bankruptcy
now, will it
be for my advantages or disadvantages? please let me know.
4. After the SOL
run out, and I have a decent job could
they threaten me in any way and make me loose my job or make my employer know with my problem?
5. Does the SOL
cover debts relating balance transfer
checks too or not. If not could they charge me with criminal charges? Thanks
