I'm thinking that if transunion couldn't verify the account info, the two credit card companies may not have those records any longer. Especially since the accounts were paid and old but not so old to be off the report. Once I tried to talk to citibank about credit card info from an old account that had gone to collections and they had nothing under my name or ssn. So, if that's the same situation with these other two credit card companies, I don't know how I'd get the payment info. I guess I may just write a letter and say that I was discouraged to find that they did not verify the info, that I have good reason to believe that it's incorrect and please check again (?) I also tried to get them to verify a third account, a charge off, which transunion did verify and update. I could say, maybe to sound more legit, that I verified that account myself and that if they verify that too they will find that the balance has increased.
