As I am not up there in business savvy, I just needed to ask. Looks as if by the time my SOL takes effect, the judgement will be immense to pay. If I pay it with help from family before the other debts reach the SOL time (by fall and winter), then the red flags will go up, right? Probably I should really consider bankruptcy. My husband is disabled, on SSI, and we are presently judgement proof, as we were told several years ago by a lawyer. None of our creditors have bothered us really, only a collection request once a year. I tell them our inability to pay, and do not acknowledge the debt as ours. My point is that we do not want to lose our house. From your advice yesterday, that won't happen while my husband and I own the house together. But this judgement could really mess things up in the future maybe. Well, enough rambling, next question...about bankruptcy...how far back does the bankruptcy court want information from checking accounts and personal information? I have not been very good at keeping records unfortunately.

Thanks again for your willingness to help,
Barbara
