I am making some payments, mostly just the interest portion. I explained to both Providian and Encore (CA) that I have substantial medical bills but in August my financial condition should be a little better.

Encore offered a payment plan of $50/month drop interest to 9.9% from 23.9%. I said ok and to send me the paper work. So far I have not received anything from them.

I am worried about a lawsuit, but I am in FL and according to statuates I am judgement proof since I am head of houshold.
