It is a shame you didn't get this straightened out at least 6 months before applying for credit.What you can do now is to speak to your bank and the lawyer for your closing and tell them that some of the collection items are not yours, ask them to escrow the amount of $$ sufficient to pay these accounts until you can get them removed from your report. Then file a complaint with the FTC and your State's AG office of identity fraud and noncompliance on the part of the collection agency in removing this fraudulent account,send a rrr to the cra reporting this item that you have been a victim f identity fraud, get a letter or whatever other documentation you can from the oc and submit that along with all your other filings and letters and request for escrowing of this account.
