Yes, wait until the bad stuff comes off your reports. Seven years from dates of first delinquencies.
You could have tried to settle for deletion or upgrades on the reporting status.
Now after you have paid everyone they have no reason to delete anything off your reports.
Unless you start disputing as not mine and lie, there is not much you can do.

You can always try to get a mortgage but if you get one, the rates will not be prime, I would wait it out and save tons of money for your downpayment.
