Bill, ingore Christine's abusive postings. She must have gone off her meds this week. Unfortunately there isn't much negotiating on a situation like this. You owe them, they can get you for not paying. They usually don't. If it hasn't been written off, and you can pay it, pay. You are only hurting yourself. After paying up, and being a good customer for a while, card companies often remove lates as a goodwill gesture - but onyl if you're a good customer. That means pay on time every time. Give it a shot, it is the BEST way to improve your credit. Linda
