If I came off like someone on a moral high horse, sorry about that. It was not my intention to criticize anyone else for the situation they're currently in or how they choose to handle it. I was only explaining why I've chosen to handle my situation in this way.

You have to understand that you're speaking to someone who used to laugh at collection agents whenever they called, saying, "Hey, you can't get blood from a stone, buddy." They conversation usually ended at that point. It's still funny to think about it.

Anyways, I'm amazed that everyone's in such an uproar about my willingness to pay debts (SOL or no SOL). That's so interesting.

Maybe Why Chat feels threatened by my posts because they seem to run counter to his advice? I don't mean to step on anyone's toes or to criticize anyone else's way. I was just saying what's worked for me.

And, I think you're right again, Marcy, in that what works for someone who's in a position to pay is going to be different than the strategy for someone who might not be in position to pay.

So, let me explicitly qualify all the things I've said as being as from the point of view of someone who's in a position to pay and may not apply to those who have higher priorities at the moment.
