Judgment Question for the All-Knowing Why Chat or anyone else :)

Hey, Why Chat...

On the subject of my NYS Judgments, I was considering filing a motion to vacate judgment on each one on the grounds that I was never properly served.

As I said before, I have two different student loan judgment issues--one filed in Albany, and the other filed in both Albany and Otsego County. Even though the creditor knew my address (especially since after the first judgment, I was in payment arrangements with the ATTYG) they never served me. They just dinged me again.

Based on that, I think I have a case and will probably write each court and request a copy of the return of service (if they come up with one, I'll be shocked). Once I have confirmation that there is no valid return of service, I'll make up my mind about filing the motion.

My question is (finally), if I wait until *after* I pay these judgments, will that affect my ability to have the judgments vacated?

Thanks for your help and let me know how that tax question turns out. :)
