Oh, sorry, now I see that in your first post. You are home free. It doesn't matter whether they can validate or who should pay anything. Tell them to buzz off, this debt is out of statute. They should go find a sucker who doesn't know any better. Send the cease letter, and forget them. If they call after that tell them YOU are suing THEM.

It is over. IF they sued you they could not win. They won't bother - they know better.

If they call you a deadbeat, tell them you are a deadbeat who knows the law, and hang up. hahahaha!!
