Small claims court. First, draw up a "eIn that letter, inform them of your attempts to resolve this and that you have the documentation to prove it. Then tell them that if they do not comply by xxx date (give them 15 days or 30 days - whatever you want that's within reason)you will bring suit against them in xxx court (your nearest small claims court). To sue them, you must have them served, and you'll have to see if the court will do it or if you have to pay someone to do it.

You also have to show damages, so go apply for credit and let yourself get turned down a couple of time - try to get one turn-down on each report.

Small claims is fill-in-the-blanks paperwork, so go get the papers and read over in case you need our help filling it out.

Chances are the intent to sue letter will get you what you want, but if not, go ahead and really sue them, and include your costs - court and service, time off from work, etc - in with the $1,000 limit for violating the FCRA and the FDCPA. We sill help you gather up documentation (laws) that you will need to take to court. You may have to educate the judge about these laws!! hahaha!!! So, it's good to have copies of them with the relevant sections highlighted, and copies of other cases of similar nature that have been heard and ruled on in higher courts.
