Is B of A the one reporting the charge off? Have you checked to see if it is from one of the banks they bought? That kind of thing happens a lot. They buy Sunset Bank and all Sunset's old charged off accounts get reported as current, often resulting in duplicates, or out of date debts being reported as current debts. It's a computer thing and no one wants to be bothered correcting it, is the problem.

You gotta get their attention.
