If you DON'T go they will automatically win the judgment by default and you will lose any and all chances to state your case or negotiate in front of a judge.

DON'T blow off court. If they win by default, then you run the risk of having wages garnished, bank accounts seized or other assets seized or liened.

Its pain, and its intimidating, but go to the court date :)
