Re-aging by Original Creditor/Priorities/Help

I have a student loan account on my credit report that's currently living three lives.

Life #1: OC, transferred/collection
Life #2: OC, new acct #, collection
Life #3: NYS Judgment

This seems to qualify as re-aging. It seems totally *wrong* and a paper-thin excuse for keeping this on my report longer (Life #1 is about to drop in a month or so).

I just disputed both life #1 and #2 as outdated (the delinquency started in 1995) on Experian's site.

Any suggestions on what tone I should take to get this taken care of?

This drives me particularly insane, because I'm planning to pay off that triple threat this year. But, geez... that 29.99% car loan has got to go.

On the one hand, I want to pay off the car loan because the interest is so damned high. But, truly, the car loan has never been late, so it's actually good for my credit. On the other hand, this triple threat only has 9% interest, is half the principle (sp?) of my car loan, BUT, it's kicking my arse ten ways to Sunday on my credit report.

What to do?

Thanks,
jeje
