There are advantages to a 13 that one should consider. I posted a long explanation in another thread. The reason most 13s fail is that people aren't realistic in evaluating their expenses. Many times they are afraid if they have their expenses too high their bk 13 plan will not be confirmed. This is not true...I have seen people include private school tuition as an expense and the plan is approved.

If bk is an option one should consult with a qualified atty before making any final decisions.
