I'm in Virginia. My first delinquency was in 1997. This is from an old credit report(updated6-98). It states the account as transferred or sold with a last activity of 3-1998. It has changed hands several times since then but its not reported as charged off until 2000 by the the third company it was transferred or sold to. Now, on recent experian reports, it states that it comes off in 5-2008, and charged off in 2001. and for S&P which is the same account just taken over, it states come off date as 8-2007. Again, the orignal creditor did not chrge it off, they just state that it was transferred or sold based on the credit report. I will e-mail the Attorney's name to you.
