If he feels he is somehow a personal failure, and that he is avoiding paying his bills if he takes BK, tell him this. The original creditors NEVER see a dime of the $$$ he is paying out. If he wants to feel better about his responsibilities, remind him that his FIRST responsibility is to his own family and their future.
