Hello. I need some assistance, please.
I had a credit card 14 years ago. It has not been paid off. I found out that it is still on all my credit reports and it is causing me and husband some problems considering we r purchasing a new house. I called equifax and they told me that they cannot remove it from my file. It will be there forever until i pay the debt. I have 2 collection agency trying to collect this debt, and sending me affidates.They r saying that last activity was in 95..I had NO card in 95, but I did have the card in the 89.no activity whatsoever in 95...nada!
Please help me with the siuation. It has been so bad, the collectors r driving me crazy, mentally and physically! any advise will help and be appreciated.
