Given that the SOL for cc debt is 5 years in Ill. and they haven't filed suit yet, I doubt you have anything to worry about.Yes, you can use their own records to prove a SOL defense, but remember,the starting date is NOT the date it was charged off,but the date you were FIRST late on the account, usually about 180 days BEFORE the chargeoff date. Your best bet is to look at your Experian credit report,see when that says the account will no longer be reported, take off 2 years, that will give you your accurate SOL date.
