I agree with all re:HELing to pay off unsecured debt. I think it is financially foolish...what I meant to say re:Haley is that she should be treated more gently because what is stressing them out enough to consider this is medical bills for a special needs child...not credit card charges.
Iowa Dude sounds like someone who wants to skate away from responsibility for debt...all I can say to him is what goes around comes around...and continuing this scam into a new house and mortgagee is dishonest in my opinion.
