I do not know what you mean by "recently paid" Did you pay of these old accounts that were 2 years past the time they could legally collect on them, and 1 year away or less from dropping off your reports?If you paid a partial payment on any of them, did you get anything to prove you were paying to someone who had the right to collect? These old accounts get sold and resold, and frequently collection agents will keep payments on an account they no longer have, or collect on accounts they have no legal right to collect on.
