I paid the magority in 98 (some just this yr), and pd them as settlements with letters stating they were satisfied as pmt in full back to me. I personally don't know if they have the right to collect since the original letter from them is far gone (bad thing on my part from being about 20yrs old at the time)- I am still getting letters and phone calls (over a yr now)regarding the one acct supposedly due (from NCO Financial). They want me to settle but I'm not sure if I should wait it out for it to drop off my credit report, validate it, or what- the validation letters seem like they mey not work w/ my case since I have spoken to this co. many times and did have a settlement set even though it was one I did not agree in writing with or ever pay since it was still way over the amt of the OC amt due. Any suggestions, should I still send validation or is it past that point?
