They sent letter saying it was paid, they report its not?

I was turnd dowm for two laoan with in a week of each other by lenders that had never turned me down in the past. A light goes on and I feel maby I should check my credit. I sign up with Equfax for a service for one year and get the first copy of my credit and score.
A company named Portfolio Support has reported that I have paid my account 30 days late two time this year. Also makeing a NOTE to my crdit report,"Arrangement made with credit grantor to make partial payments". I also see that my credit score went from 699 to 586 and call Portfolio Support. Im told that I am correct, the account will be updated to reflect that there is no derogatory information. I ask when will this update be done? Im am told it will be done on that day. Three days later I get a letter with a letter head titled Heilig Meyers Furniture and signed sincerely, Portfolio Support. It says. Dear Peter
Please be advised that the account referenced above has been updated with the credit reporting agencies to reflect no previous derogatory information. This will be updated during our next reporting cycle. We apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused. If we may be of any additional assistance. Please do not hesitate to contact the Portfolio Support Division via the fax number above.
Sincerely, Portfolio Support Dept Equfax sent me a credit alurt a day later. It showed that Portfolil had made a update to my account. The report was unchanged from the past. In short the same derogatory information had been reported. Also a investigation by Equifax had been completed at my request. It stated in part that. "This item belongs to you, Equifax verified that the subscriber comment is correct, ect, ect". Look like a form letter, sounded like canned statements. I see that when I ask for the investagation my credit score was restored to a 699. But I see that when the investigatio was completed it droped to 604. I figure that if investigation restore one for a time, I will make a request for a investigation again. Next day my credit score is up to 704 and the investigation is ongoing. I also fax all my information to Portfolio, a copy of there letter apologize to me, my bad credit report befor they said thay would fix it, a copy after they reported it to be the same, and a copy of the Equifax investigation. Now it been over two weeks and no word from anyone. The last investigation by Equifax is due any time and that means the credit score will tumble again. The long and short of this is I need my credit and time has past on being able to do the busness the loan would of made possabul. I have sent Portfolio Support, Heilig-Meyers,and a Gulf State Credit, L.L.C. a demand letter certified. I sent one to this Gulf State because they Have been sending me demands for payment on this account. I don't know were they get into this but I figure if they wont a peace of me I should throw them into my demand. I demanded they fix this mess and notifi my Bank and other creditors that they were rong in there report with a demand for $559.95 for damages to date.
