What was the date of your first delinquency on the account, (1st late notice)? Did you get anything from Surpas Resources prior to your "settlement" that gave you the rightto dispute this account? Did you get anything from the OC stating the account had been charged off, sold or assigned to Surpas for collection?Do yo have any documentation of your payment?You need to get all 3 of your credit reports,( free as you have been declined for credit). You will have a lot of work to do to clean up this mess.Do NOT send any validation letters out to anyone unless and untl you can figure out who is reporting what. It is obvius that the collection letter from Cavalry(one of the WORST ca's) had nothing to do with your application, unless you used your old address for the new credit app.
