Your information doesn't make any sense.When were you FIRST late (30 days past due) with the ORIGINAL CREDITOR.If it WAS that recent, then you can still be sued for whatever balance was left after your "settlement" with Surpas.Ordinarily I would suggest a validation/dispute/cease and desist, but if your default to the OC is THAT recent, and they don't have your current address or State of residence, I would wait until they send you something at your current address.Make sure that no one at your prior address gives them that information. Obviously your mail is not beingforwarded, so you are safe there, and your app. listed your prior address. If you do get your credit report on-line,it would be a good idea to hold off giving your new address there.As to your basic question, your "settlement" of paid in full only applied to the collection agent you were dealing with. They sold the rest of the balance for collection to another ca, (a real bottom feeder) who was not bound by Surpas agreement with you.
