OK- Here's the scoop- IF your car was repossessed legally, they would have been legally allowed to file a deficiency judgment against you within 4 years from the repo. Since you say there is no judgment on file, and it is over 4 years from the date of repo, they no longer have any legal claim to any money from you.
However, there is another issue, if all you got was a "statement" of what the car was sold for,you may not have been given proper legal notice, and therefore ALL the $$ you have paid in may be refundable to you.In any case, you should speak to a consumer lawyer, and find out what your situation is.
