actually the % approved varies greatly depending on area. Some courts approve 10-20% on a regular basis while others will not. you are supposed to put all of your disposable income into your plan, and it must be at least as much as creditors would get from a ch7. what really determines which bk is better is how much you have in assets and how much can protect via exemptions.
The other important thing to note is that with a ch13 you have no real control of your finances for the length of the plan, usually three years.
