Your best bet, in my opinion,is to pay them what they want, get yourself and your home out of jeopardy of foreclosure --then find out what legal resources are best for you to sue them for damages. No lawyer, even a good consumer lawyer, is going to take a case just to allow you the satsfaction of them correcting their error. You need to be able to prove damages, you need to have an actionable claim that will pay the lawyer's expenses and fees.If you proceed properly, eventually you will have your $$ refunded plus some more for your trouble. BUT it isgoing t take time and effort.
