Is there any case law about this? I mean, is the a court case where a judge or jury ruled that adding on additional fees, beyond late fee and over the limit fee is unacceptable? How does a business handle chargeoffs? Are they legally allowed to add the price of the chargeoff paperwork to your credit limit or outstanding balance?
