First of all, let me say that I am truly sorry that this car broke down on you, it is an unfortunate thing when a relatively new car ends up being a lemon and there is no recourse for the consumer (But that is another issue). As far as your loan goes, the loan for the car has absolutely nothing to do with whether the car runs or not, they don't care. You can go ahead and sue whoever issued the EX-Warrenty, but as far as the loan, you are responsible. It sounds like you have a good case against the Ford warranty but unfortunately you are responsible for the loan. If you repo, voluntary or involuntary, it will SEVERELY affect your credit score if you don't pay the balance left after repo, and get assurances in writing from the lender that there will be no derogatory info put on your credit report, (and believe me it will be a lot more than you think!). My advice would be to continue making your payments, followup with the extended warranty suit, and have an independent engine rebuilder rebuild your engine. It is usually cheaper and they give a great warranty. P.S. Check with the BBB in your area to ensure that the shop doing the work on your car is reputable.
