We are starting to get all sorts of calls from the credit card companies, and we are wondering if it's better to avoid them, or to just tell them my Husband lost his job and we can't pay. We are in the process of finding a cheaper bankruptcy attorney since we can't afford the $1000 one anymore without a job, but we don't know what the best method of approach is for dealing with these guys.

Also, I know I asked before, but the cars are in my husband's name and if we file chapter 7 they will try to take them (they are paid off). They aren't worth much, but are worth more than 1000 and we do need a car!. Would it be legal to change the cars to MY name or would that be fraudulent? I don't want to do anything that would get us in trouble or be viewed badly by the bankrutpcy court. Since the debts are in his name only he is filing Chapter 7.

Thanks for your help!
