Were you ever served with the documents on the deficiency? Did you get a statement of account?
Do you have a deficiency judgment filed against you in Texas? Are you still in Texas?
Repo laws are pretty clear, most States have a fairly short period of time for a judgment to be obtained after a LEGAL repssession and deficiency. When the legal procedures have not been followed, they are not allowed to claim a DIME. Go on line and file a complaint with the Tx. AG's office against the OC and the CA if you were never correctly served on the repo. Send a letter RRR to them demanding they validate the legal basis of their claim with copies of any deficiency judgment obtained, and/or copies of the proper service required for repossession and resale, incliding a full accounting of the time and manner of the resale.Advise them that you have filed a complaint with the Tx AG's office and demand they remove the entry from your credit report.DO NOT PAY them anything, all that would do is validate their claim and keep it on your report longer.
