Generally you have to be attending at least 1/2 time to qualify for deferment (at least 6 credits or more). The deferment may also depend on the type of student loan (i.e. Stafford, Perkins, etc.) For Stafford generally to qualify you must be enrolled and attending classes that have a minimum combined 6 credits. On what basis did you qualify for the deferment? Has that changed? Did you drop classes - you don't give much info.
