In response, though, this is where the creep of an attorney I hired gave me wrong advice. He knew I wanted to sell this place soon so he advised me to use the money to do the repairs I needed to do inside - this is of course AFTER I realized the mortgage company was ripping up the payments.

I did get another lawyer recently and we are negotiating with the mortgage company. My NEW post is related to recent events.
