Is this your first notice from them? If so, it is the standard "this is an attempt to collect a debt......" not a specific threat to you. Also you have the right to request validation at any time.

I think you will be OK either way. They don't really know that the SOL is 3 months away, they just have your name and address and an amount of money. They probably can't validate it anyway.

So, do whatever makes you feel better. :)
