I received a Foreclosure notice from A realty corporation in texas, (not the original morgagers) represented by attorney's in PHiladelphia--no court date set. Just a bunch of threats to pay up or else!Yes, my name is on the original mortgage. I left my ex with our two kids years ago due to abuse. My ex still lives in the house which I have heard is in dilapidated condition.
The ex is a heavy drug user and I have yet to recieve child support in all these years.
Why would they let him stay in the house for 13 years without paying on the mortgage? And, How can they have the right to sue now for $117,000.00! (The house was $31,000,00)
I am very upset that I have struggled for years to rise above the bottomless pit, finally get on my feet and have something to call my own, and for this to happen. My ex has managed to alude the law his intire life and come out smelling like a rose. (never married--incase you wanted to know.) Last night I spoke to a lawyer and asked him if I was protected under the SOL, he laughed and said that they can sue me anytime they want.
