I received in the mail some official looking documents, one of which turned out to be simply an affidavit from the law office stating that I owe Providian some money, the other what appears to be a Virginia court document stating that I must appear in court in late August...I think it's called a warrant in debt. There is no case number. Then yestaerday, a notice was taped up to my door, basically the same info that came in the mail, and signed, supposedly, by a deputy clerk of the court. I suppose I should just call them and offer to settle this thing before the court date?
