I co-signed, different address

I co-signed for a Sears card for someone. I already had my own card and never used the co-signed one. The statements went to her address. I did not know she was not making payments. When I found out I immediately went to the Sears store and paid the $750 in full (the account was not delinquent at this time since she had made a payment) and then closed the account. I wrote to Sears to see if they could remove the delinquencies since they never sent me anything asking for payment or saying the account was delinquent. I never got a reply. What can I do?
