The only way I've seen anyone get deletion for payment is if the debt is very old and owned by the CA. In this case, since the chargeoff is recent, I'm betting the CA is just assigned the debt. The OC signs contracts with CRA's promising to report factual information. They also don't want people to get the idea that you can quit paying when you feel like it {I know this isn't your case} and resume at a fraction of what they owe and all is forgiven. It's not fair to the vat majority that do pay on time.

FWIW, I'd be careful about offering payment in full to the OC this early. All you've done is tell them you have money. They can very easily sue you and not get involved with negoiations. Keep a low credit profile for awhile.
