Which SOL are you referring to? I was referring to the "reporting" SOl as few States re-age the "suing" SOL without a signed agreement.It is true that the FCRA prohibits reporting for more than 7 years past the first delinquency that leads to chargeoff, however, if you make a "settlement"on an account that is say,4-5 years old,it is then reported as a paid collection account and the balance, having been resold to another ca, is VERY difficult to remove, as the "starting date" is usually reported as the settlement date,and it has long since lost it's relationship to the OC.
