Thanks, Linda, for your kind words. This company, NCO, wrote saying that I didn't answer their request from before. I told them I do not remember receiving anything from them, but that I always try to answer my mail. Just yesterday, I found a request from them in my papers, and that I had made a notation that I had answered them in March. I haven't heard anything back until now. If I recall correctly, this is the same company who did the same thing, same pattern, 3 years ago when they turned it over to an attorney who got a judgement against me. This recent request that they are making is actually against my husband. I handle all of our finances and everything else because my husband cannot, so that fact just whizzed right past my brain. But I feel it is mine because everything that has to do with him is my responsibility. So sorry for the confusion.

I think if they follow the previous pattern, and I do hear from that attorney group (whom I think are a collection agency), I am sure the SOL will have reached the five year point.

Why Chat has given me some leads on the possibility of MO's 5 year SOL to be 4 years instead. I will check that out.

Meanwhile, do you know when the SOL is counted to? Is it the filing date, serving date, or court date?

Thanks again for your help,
Barbara
