Greetings,
I've been fortunate enough to rehabilitate my student loans and am now in good standing. There is still a negative mark from Sallie Mae Financial on there from when they deferred the account. Since the loan has been rehabilitated and has been changed from negative with an aid commission to good with the new lender, is there anyway to have the initial lender (Sallie Mae) removed?

Also, now that I'm a bit more educated about credit, I don't want to just zip off credit card applications to all banks. I know my FICO score and things look pretty good, I just don't want to find out that it's not THAT good and make another "negative" mark on the report... Any suggestions of the requirements, experiences, etc.?

Thanks in advance
