Problem with Chrysler credit

My mom and dad own a 02 Sebring, it is in both of their names. MY mother has terminal lung and brain cancer and can no longer work. The car payment is due the first of every month and my father is self employed and cannot make the payment until the end of the month....Chrysler calls my parents house every day and threatens to repo the car because it is 30 days late every month. My father has repeatedly asked them to move the payment to the end of the month and not to call every single day and upset my mother. They will not cooperate at all! My mother does not have very much longer to live and I really do not think my poor dad needs the extra stress from Chrysler. I told my dad to contact the BBB. Even though yes, the payment is due on the first of the month, their compassion or willingness to work with someone who is willing to pay for the car is ludicrous! Any suggestions?
