It is a scam- do not be fooled.DO NOT give them ANY information on the phone, ask them to send you the REQUIRED letter for collection. Get their name and address (NOT a PO Box #) Report them to the FTC for illegal collection harrassment and threats. What State are you in, and how old is the account (when were you first "late" on it) If it is off your credit report, it means yu are beyond the SOL for ANY legal action.
