I do not believe that pulling your own report would start up anything,since presumably the cc you have is at your current address. As to applying for new credit, I think it would be wise to wait until the SOL expires,then even if someone did come after you a cease and desist would do it.It is NOT in my opinion, now-a-days safe to go without checking your reports once a year.
