I had a cell phone a couple of years ago. I lived in Illinois and then moved to Michigan to work at the mackinaw islands during the season. I called and gave them the change of address and thought everything would be okay from there since I did my part. Then after 2 months went by my mail wasn't being forwarded from Illinois like I asked and I had never received a bill from the cell phone company. I called them again and they said I owed them $75.00, I explained that I did not have a bill sent to me and I wanted to look it over before paying them anything. They said they would send one, finally after 1 month later I recieved it and it said it was $150.00. I called and argued that I owed that much and asked what I could do, they said that I would have to pay the cancellation fee to cancel the contract. I of course didn't have the money to pay that so I just let it go and never paid it. I asked them to investigate it though and see why it was so high. Well, 2 months later I get a bill that it is $750.00. BIG DIFFERENCE from before. I don't understand why it was so high, because I didn't use the phone and there wasn't anything listed on there to explain it either. My main question is now they have sent it to collections and I thought they were investigating it. Is there anyway to fight this or not? Thanks
