I've had a long standing problem with my ex-cable company (Charter Communications and Charter Pipeline, beware). First their service was terrible. Next I returned the equipment and closed the accounts. After 2 months, they began sending me bills for charges which I did not incurr. I called them, and told them I was no longer a customer, to which they agreed. Monthly for 6 months I recieved bills, and promptly called them every month. Finally, they quit charging me for serviced, but over $100 of late fees are still on my account. It seems that have sent this to a collection agency. I have perfect credit. I paid off my car, nearly paid off my student loans, paid off $10,000 worth of credit card charges years ago, and am now paying on my house. (The loan officer loved me when she got my credit report) I want to sue them for damaging my credit, on top of the terrible service which start this mess and rang up this bill. Anyone ever heard of this being done? Can it be done? Thanks.... mac.
