No, it is PERFECT just the way it is. Capitol 1 will JUMP at the chance to forgive you a portion of your overdue account, plus rewarding you by giving you a squeaky clean credit report. They will probably, since the letter is SO persuasive, also open a NEW line of credit for you with 0% APR, just to prove that you don't have to keep current and deserve a good credit rating in order to get it.
