If they sue you, you can raise the defense that they did not validate. You are under NO obligation to do their work for them.There is nothing more that you can do now, except to write back and state that they have not validated and therefore are required to stop all collection activities. It is called an estoppal letter, and is somewhere in one or more of the links on my website.
