We have several unsecured cards that are way out of control. Ive been sending payments each month on all and paying off small ones as I go. My payments on most are whatever I can send, because I certainly cannot send the payments of hundreds of dollars and a couple of them want the full amount which is right over $3000. We got behind and late ,over the limit and interest can not be caught up. I sent a letter to nextcard(yes I know they went bankrupt) and also Aspire offering to pay set payments of $65.00 a month until they were paid off , if they would stop all the charges, otherwise I would never get them paid off. It was going to take 4 years to pay them off. I got my nextcard bill as usual with no mention of my letter. Also I got a letter from Aspire rejecting my offer. My question is this,
1. Do I continue to try to pay although Im fighting a losing battle, because amounts owed will just keep going up,or
2. Do I stop paying and take my chances that they wont take me to court.
3. We will have our house paid off ( land contract) next month, can they take it for unsecured cards? Sorry this is so long. NEED HELP!
